Too much Smoking!

You walk in and it's very quaint, but then there's the smoking... it's like an old man's dive bar or a casino with all the smoking. Couldn't take it, so we mostly stayed in the outside. We walked in at around 11:30 PM. Then left an hour later. "Cocktail" Happy Hour was the only good thing about it. Their happy hour stopped at midnight. A gin & tonic was only $3, and the even used Bombay and/or Hendricks if you wanted - same price! Music was good, mostly Spanish, which can get old. The DJ through in some Robyn (Dutch artist) which was great, but only once... Unfortunately, the smoking effected our lungs, we won't be going back there. Bummer because it had a great review. We went on a Saturday night, and it was not hopping. There was maybe 20 people, half teenagers, half older men and about 6 girls. I say girl, because I think they were younger than 21. But then again young adults today look TOO young. I don't recommend this place for NON-smokers. I'm still hacking up a losing. They should constrict the smoking to just outside in the back, it's a very large outside area with more tables than inside. Would bring more business for them I think. Not everyone love inhaling smoke while trying to dance. Anyways, that's our thought.

Friendly, but too smoky

This is the only "gay" place to go on the Island; the staff is friendly and prompt, it doesn't get busy until really late after the service industry folks get off work. We found the prices to be a little higher than expected but that was pretty much everywhere in Aruba. Everything is imported (except for the local beer) which is still $5 for a small bottle. Smoking is allowed inside the bar, and the bar has terrible ventilation. It smells stale and my eyes were stinging. We liked the patio out back but they close it at 2 AM. The crowd is very mixed.
